ART, COMMISSIONS & ORDERING INFORMATION
TIME: A commissioned painting takes approximately 3 weeks to complete, 2 weeks to dry and 2 weeks to ship.
PRICING: A custom painting can fit just about any budget depending on size and materials. Provide me with your intended budget and size so that I may create a proposal. A custom oil painting starting at a size of approximately 80 x 120 cm up to 140 x 140 cm ranges from 4’000 - 10’000 euros. The price will vary depending on where I garner materials and if gold leaf or special applications are requested. I paint on fine Belgian or Italian linen and use high-grade oil paints. Materials are about a third of the price and the remainder is painting time. Large canvasses are rolled up and placed in a waterproof architects tube and sent using DHL shipping services. Stretching fees and stretcher bars are not included in the price. Stretching can be done at your local framers and the wooden stretcher bars can be ordered at most fine art supply stores. For budgets ranging from 1’000 - 4’000 euros I use high quality pre-primed pre-stretched canvasses approximate sizes are 30 - 40 cm - 60 x 80 cm. These paintings are pre-stretched on stretcher bars, packaged in protective plastic and cardboard. For budgets under 1000 euros I recommend oil on impregnated paper or watercolors. These are sent in cardboard tubes.
SHIPPING: Fees are not included. Size determines fees per DHL which can range from 300 -1000 euros Please bear in mind even though DHL promises a quick delivery, international packages are subject to Clearance Control and can be held in waiting up to 2 weeks and that some countries are experiencing shipping delays due to the supply chain. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: After the first deposit of 50% I will begin the painting. Once the final payment is received the painting will be shipped.
